The care label attached to the finished product is the controlling instruction. The guidance below is general only because trims, finishes, coatings, and mixed fibers can change the correct method.
Cotton jersey, twill, fleece, and loopback
- Wash only when needed, with similar dark colors.
- Use cold water, a gentle cycle, and mild detergent unless the care label says otherwise.
- Turn garments inside out and close zippers before washing.
- Do not use chlorine bleach. Air dry when possible; high heat can shrink or distort fabric.
- Use a low iron from the reverse side only if the care label permits it.
Nylon and technical fabrics
- Wipe light soil with a damp cloth.
- Use cool water and gentle detergent only if washing is permitted by the care label.
- Avoid fabric softener, bleach, high heat, and prolonged soaking.
Leather and suede
- Keep away from prolonged moisture, direct heat, and harsh cleaners.
- Blot moisture; do not rub. Allow to dry naturally away from sunlight.
- Use products intended for the specific leather or suede and test on an inconspicuous area.
- For stains or structural repairs, use a qualified leather or footwear specialist.
Canvas and rubber footwear
Remove dry soil with a soft brush. Spot clean with cool water and mild soap. Do not machine wash or tumble dry unless the product care label expressly permits it. Air dry away from direct heat.
Storage
Store clean and dry. Use breathable storage, avoid prolonged direct sunlight, and do not hang heavy knit or fleece garments in a way that stretches the shoulders.
